Cygnus Manufacturing Company (CMC) is a progressive, state-of-the-art contract manufacturer specializing in precision machining, sheet metal fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly. CMC offers services to companies in the following industries: aerospace, medical devices, instrumentation, energy, health & safety, and transportation. We are located in a suburb of Pittsburgh (Saxonburg, PA) and have an excellent opportunity for an aggressive, self-motivated individual to help build our business.

The Customer Service Representative will perform customer support activities as well as act as the lead for government bids, website administration and manufacturer’s representative’s sales orders. Responsibilties will include the following:

1. Receive customer quotes and pass on to estimating.

2. Receive customer purchase orders.

3. Receive customer revisions and advise appropriately.

4. Correspond with customers on inquiries and complaints.

5. Expedite orders as necessary.

6. Prepare open order reports as requested by customers.

7. Lead efforts in the government bid process.

8. Lead project management work for non-technical customers.

9. Update CMC website with relevant information and increase marketability of site.

10. Act as direct line of contact for all manufacturer’s representatives throughout the entire sales and manufacturing process.

11. Function as the back up for outside sales staff when unavailable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business or communications plus 3-5 years of experience in customer service or an Associate’s degree plus 5-7 years of experience. Knowledge of manufacturing is required. Strong independent work ethic and customer focus. Excellent communication and organization skills. Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point. Working knowledge of ERP systems is required (Made2Manage is a plus). Must have a friendly personality, great attitude, and strong desire to succeed. Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing work demands.
